Why Choose a Fascinator
There are many reasons to choose and wear a Fascinator, so let's explore some of them.
- You have an event to attend and you want to dress up and create a stir, a scene, your runway, some magic, or your happiest day. You want to show off your beauty and confidence.
- For no reason at all, you just love the idea of exploring your personas and exercising your developing confidence muscle. You will wear it doing that pile of dishes, at the farmers market to create conversations, or visiting a friend in the hospital. Your mission is Smiles!
- Girls Night Out. You and your posse love to play and spread the joy. Nothing attracts more than a woman who is glowing, full of confidence and playfulness! And it feels so good.
- You love handmade and one of a kind collectibles. Each KadyBloom is just that.
- They create memories when you wear them and give impressions to others of the joy and playfulness that is you!
- For a special gift to a friend on an occasion or milestone achievement.
- Or a inspirational gift for someone to encourage them to scale that mountain they are facing, whether it be heartache, illness or tragedy.
- It reminds them to connect with their hopes and desires.
How to Choose The One for You or for a Gift
- You have a dress or outfit that begs for a beautiful accessory to be worn and you find a Fascinator to match it perfectly.
- You just have that feeling that it's YOU when you see it. You listen to your intuition and you KNOW. You are confident in your choices.
- Maybe you see one that strikes a chord in you that says "I want to be the kind of woman who wears that! I desire to express that part of my personality!" Exploring our fantasies and imagination is part of dress up.
- You adore a certain color and get compliments every time you wear it. That would be a perfect color Fascinator to choose.
- Your favorite flower or perhaps the little butterflies or hummingbirds or small details that delight you are a great inspiration for The One For You.
- And for a gift? Any of the reasons above apply to buying a gift for a loved one or friend. And think of the surprise and joy it will bring her.
How to Wear
With CONFIDENCE! You simply believe in your unique beauty with all your heart and soul.
Many years in the fashion business taught me that very few women are happy with their looks or their body. Many of us were taught as young girls to NOT call attention to ourselves in any way. Don't excel in intellectual subjects or sports, don't flirt, don't express your femininity because it could get us in trouble. So we dimmed our lights and we settled for less than we know we could be.
Learning to be confident is why I have launched KadyBloom. They say that we teach and give what we need to learn and heal in ourselves. Or we give what we ourselves need. When we have a cause, a mission that is greater than ourselves, we can transcend our reluctance and our fears.
I know I am more than my mind tells me I am, because my heart tell me so. I have more gifts to give, more connections to make with others, more accomplishments to make and share in the world. Yet, I felt shy to step courageously forward. I felt invisible and afraid of failing. I didn't know how to connect with others that I didn't know. Yet I knew I would have to transform these feelings if I was going to accomplish what my heart knows I want to give and accomplish.
How to wear your Fascinator
Our headband fits most heads, including girls and women of all ages. Our feedback, testimonials and experience is that they can be worn comfortably for many hours.
Each KadyBloom Fascinator is designed with a front and back for a gorgeous 360 view, when it is worn. The KadyBloom jewelry charm rose logo should be positioned on your right side, over your right ear. This ensures that you are wearing the designed front side forward.
We suggest you wear your Fascinator on your head positioned towards the front of your crown, one to two inches from your hairline. It will have a more chic look this way, instead of wearing it pushed back to the top of the head.
Care of your Fascinators. How to handle, transport and store your Fascinator
Please care for your Fascinator as you would a floral bouquet. It is well made, as well as delicate, crushable and feather spines can crack and/or break.
Our fascinators turn up on the prettiest heads at parties, weddings and for fun around the globe. If you are traveling by car, boat or plane, we suggest that you hand carry it in a hatbox, a proper size carton or a roomy shopping bag with tissue paper gently cushioning it within the bag. Do not crush or pack it in your handbag or luggage.
For storage, we suggest two options. Our preference is to display it on a hat stand where you can enjoy the art form it is and have a gentle reminder of the fun times you have worn it with pleasure for yourself and others. Or place it in tissue paper or a packaging material that will cradle the back and with plenty of room around it so it doesn't get crushed. When packaging, take note that there is plenty of room for the entire shape to sit freely in the container you choose.
An Important Note about Children
We have many happy young clients who love to dress up in their KadyBloom Fascinators and enjoy wearing it like a tiara or crown as young girls do.
Yet we advise that a Fascinator is not intended as a toy for children. It may contain small parts and is not suitable for children under the age of 3. All children must have supervision when wearing a Fascinator, if you choose to dress them for special and everyday occasions.
History of Fascinators
A Fascinator is an ornamental headpiece, a style of millinery or a hat. The term fascinator was first used in the 19th century for a lightweight hood, lacy head cover or scarf. Since the 1990's, the fascinator is now a highly fashionable, decorative and sometimes whimsical headpiece and accessory, inspired by cocktail hats and made known most famously by the global interest in Princess Diana and Prince Charles's wedding on July 29, 1981. And once again for the younger generation during the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, on April 29, 2011.
Throughout history, women of many cultures have adorned their heads and have worn hats and hair accessories to express their beauty and fashion style. Today Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Lara Stone and many more global beauties wear them with so much wit, style and confidence. Fascinators are featured in the best global fashion magazines and publications like Vogue, Bazaar, Vanity Fair, InStyle, The New York Times among many more.
